LARGO, MD – Due to the recent rainfall in the Washington Metropolitan area, Prince George’s County residents may dispose of limb and tree debris, free of charge, at the Prince George’s County Yard Waste Composting Facility located at 6550 South East Crain Highway in Upper Marlboro (follow Maude Savoy Brown Road and signs to the facility). The facility will accept tree debris starting today, Friday, September 30, 2016 until 3 p.m. and on Monday through Wednesday of next week, October 3 – 5, 2016 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Verification of County residency will be required upon entering and commercial vehicles will be charged according to the normal disposal rates. Tree limbs may not exceed 5 feet in length or 24 inches in diameter. Tree stumps (roots and dirt) are not accepted at the facility.
