Prince George’s County Health Department Celebrates the Grand Opening of the County’s Fourth Health Enterprise Zone Patient Centered Medical Home

LARGO, MD – Prince George’s County Health Department and Family and Medical Counseling Service, Inc. will be joined by Betty Hager Francis, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Health, Human Services and Education, Pamela B. Creekmur, Health Officer, elected officials, community leaders and strategic partners to celebrate the grand opening of Family and Medical Counseling Service, Inc., the County’s fourth Health Enterprise Zone Patient Centered Medical Home. The goal of Family and Medical Counseling Service, Inc. is to provide needed primary care services to the medically underserved residents in the County’s Health Enterprise Zone 20743 zip code. Inspired by its mission, “Care for One Person, One Family and One Community at a Time,” Family and Medical Counseling Service, Inc. will provide primary care services to infants, children and adults.

“The Health Department is working to reduce preventable hospitalizations, reduce unnecessary hospital costs, and increase the primary care workforce, including medical practitioners. We are excited about the opening of the Family and Medical Counseling Service, Inc. facility in Seat Pleasant. It is important that we continue to increase community based accessible health care services for our County’s residents,” said Pamela B. Creekmur, Prince George’s County Health Officer.
