[ARCHIVED] Prince George’s County Conducts Metro SafeTrack Press Conference at New Carrollton Metro Station

County officials unveil plan to assist commuters during SafeTrack Surge impacts of the Orange, Blue, and Silver Lines that begins on June 18th

LARGO, MD – Tomorrow, June 9, at 10:00 a.m. at the New Carrollton Metro Station, Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III, will join Darrell B. Mobley, Director, Prince George’s County Public Works and Transportation Department (DPW&T), Jack Requa, WMATA Chief Operating Officer, Suhair Al Khatib, Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Deputy Administrator, and Greg Johnson, State Highway Administrator. (SHA) to brief media regarding the County’s plan to assist commuters during SafeTrack surge impacts of the Orange, Blue, and Silver Lines. Furthermore, Prince George’s County will deploy Street Teams to disseminate information to commuters on the WMATA SafeTrack Plan and travel alternatives to commuters at impacted metro stations tomorrow morning..
