Prince George’s County to honor 22 elementary students for supporting responsible pet care and kindness to animals

LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Department of the Environment (DoE) Animal Management Division will host an awards ceremony for the 23rd annual “Be Kind to Animals” Poster Contest on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the Animal Services Facility in Upper Marlboro.
This annual ceremony honors elementary school students for their creative poster designs, which promote responsible pet care, kindness, consideration and respect of animals. The contest is open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade enrolled in a County public or private school. This year, 22 students will be honored during the awards ceremony.
