On November 30, 2022, Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) held the 2022 Virtual Snow Summit.

DPW&T hosted the Virtual Snow Summit to help Prince Georgians prepare for the upcoming snow and ice winter season. We were joined by government agencies like, Prince George’s County Office of Homeland Security/ Emergency Management Division (OEM), Department of the Environment (DOE), Prince George’s County Health Department, Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE), MDOT State Highway Administration (SHA), Vision Zero Prince George’s, Office of Community Relations (PGC311), WSSC Water, and Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department. These agencies were extremely helpful with disseminating information to citizens and answered questions that the constituents may have had about preparing for the snow and ice season.

Although we cannot predict what winter will bring, we are continuously encouraging residents to prepare now for the winter season, regardless of the severity of the weather conditions. The Winter Session Community Partners Meeting is another way to stay up to date with best practices and procedures during inclement weather. Join DPW&T, DOE, and DPIE on December 13, 2022, from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. for helpful hints for snow events. All participants must register. Click HERE and register today!
