[ARCHIVED] HEALTH DEPARTMENT EXTENDS COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINIC HOURS MAY 7TH, MAY 8TH & MAY 9TH

Appointment availability expanding at three County-operated clinics this Friday through Sunday; teenagers 16 and older encouraged to make an appointment as soon as possible at mypgc.us/ProudToBeProtected.

Largo, MD – The Prince George’s County Health Department is extending clinic hours and appointment availability at three County-operated COVID-19 vaccination clinics this weekend:

FRIDAY, MAY 7th 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

SATURDAY, MAY 8th  9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

SUNDAY, MAY 9th 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It is free to get vaccinated and insurance is not needed. Appointments for these special clinics are required. Individuals can schedule their own first-dose appointments by visiting mypgc.us/ProudToBeProtected and select one of the clinics on May 7th, May 8th, or May 9th.

Individuals without internet access should call 311 and press # and someone will help schedule the appointment. Second-dose appointments will be scheduled at the clinic during your first visit.

“The County has made tremendous strides getting our family, friends, and neighbors vaccinated as nearly half of the current eligible County population has had at least one dose, but it’s not enough to get us out of the pandemic” said Prince George’s County Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Health, Human Services, and Education Dr. George L. Askew. “Every single vaccination counts. The more people who get the shot, the harder it is for the virus to spread person-to-person. These vaccines are safe and provide you with excellent protection against getting sick from COVID-19.”

The clinics are open to County residents 16 and older. Those who are 16 or 17 years old must have a parent or guardian with them at the clinic to fill out a consent form.
