[ARCHIVED] Health Department Opens Two New COVID-19 Vaccination Clincs

Sports and Learning Complex vaccination clinic to close March 13th – March 28th; scheduled to reopen March 29th

Largo, MD – Due to scheduled facility maintenance work at the Sports and Learning Complex, the Prince George’s County Health Department is temporarily closing its COVID-19 vaccination clinic there starting Saturday, March 13th through Sunday, March 28th. Appointments will not be scheduled at this site during the closure. The clinic is scheduled to reopen on Monday, March 29th.

Patients who had an upcoming vaccination appointment scheduled at the Sports and Learning Complex clinic during the temporary closure dates should have received a notification with information about a new appointment location.

If not, patients are asked to call 311 and they will inform the Health Department to send you a notification about the new location for the appointment.

To maintain its vaccination capacity during the closure, the Health Department has opened two new vaccination clinics for appointments:

o Kentland Community Center 2411 Pinebrook Ave, Landover, MD 20785

o Cedar Heights Community Center 1200 Glen Willow Dr, Seat Pleasant, MD 20743

The Health Department, in partnership with the County Office of Emergency Management, plans to continue operating these new sites once the Sports and Learning Complex clinic reopens for vaccinations.

In addition to its three mobile units that go to different locations each week to provide vaccinations to residents, the Health Department continues to offer COVID-19 vaccinations at these sites:

Southern Regional Technology and Recreation Center in Fort Washington

Cheverly Health Center in Cheverly

Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center in Laurel

In order to receive a COVID-19 vaccine through the Prince George’s County Health Department, individuals who live or work in the County must fill out our pre-registration form.
