JUSTICE PREVAILS IN 2017 MURDER OF RONDELL FOO

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – Today, Darius Wilson, age 29, was sentenced to Life plus 20 years for the murder of 23-year-old Rondell Foo in 2017, announced Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy

Wilson was found guilty by a Prince George’s County jury in December 2019 for first degree murder and use of a firearm during a crime of violence.

On November 22, 2017 Wilson lured the Foo out of his home and shot him several times in the street and left him for dead.  Eventually, Foo succumbed to his injuries. Cell phone evidence and surveillance led to Wilson’s identification and conviction.  Wilson gave a statement to police, but continued to get caught in lies until he finally asserted his Miranda rights and questioning stopped.

“This was a horrific, calculated, and cold blooded murder.  No one deserves to have their life cut short by another person's actions,” said State’s Attorney Braveboy. “Today, justice has prevailed and it is my hope that the family of this young man will find some sense of justice from today's outcome.”
