Due
to voter turnout, some vote centers may remain open beyond 8PM to allow those
voters who are in line by 8PM to cast their ballot. Due to COVID-19 social
distancing requirements only limited numbers of voters are allowed in the vote
center at the same time.
As a result, the State Board of Elections will only release results of those local elections in counties where all the vote centers have closed. These results will be posted at approximately 8 PM at elections.maryland.gov. These results will include mail-in-ballots counted thru last night. These results will not include mailed-in-ballots placed in the mail or a drop box today or in-person vote tallies. In-person vote tallies will be released throughout the evening.
Results
for state and federal offices will be released once all vote centers have
closed statewide. Again, these results initially will only include
mail-in-ballots counted thru last night. These results will not include
mail-in-ballots placed in the mail or a drop box today. In-person tallies will
be released throughout the evening once all vote locations have closed.
