Important Deadlines for the June 2, 2020 Presidential Primary Election

The deadline to register to vote, update your address or change your party affiliation is May 27, 2020

UPPER MARLBORO- The Prince George’s County Board of Elections reminds voters that the voter registration deadline for the upcoming June 2, 2020 Presidential Primary Election is Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 5:00 PM.  The deadline for residents registering to vote online is 11:59 PM.  To receive a ballot in the mail, residents of Prince George’s County who are eligible to vote, but are not yet registered, should register by the deadline. May 27 is also the last day for registered voters to update their address or change their party affiliation.

“I encourage all Prince Georgians who are not registered to vote to register now so that a ballot can be mailed to you, affording you the opportunity to vote by mail.  Please do not wait for Same Day Registration on Election Day to register to vote.  Due to social distancing guidelines and a limited number of voters being allowed into each of our four Election Day Vote Centers, wait times may be slightly longer than normal for those choosing to vote in-person on Election Day.  If possible, please complete your ballot at home and mail it or place it in one of our drop box locations,” said Alisha Alexander, Elections Administrator for Prince George’s County.

For more information, voters may contact the Prince George’s County Board of Elections at (301) 341-7300 or visit elections.mypgc.us. Voters may also contact the State Board of Elections at 1-800-222-VOTE (8683) or visit www.elections.state.md.us.
