Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Hosts 16th Annual Crime Victims Fund Run

NOTE TO EDITORS: Please add to your Community Calendars

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha N. Braveboy will host the 16th Annual Crime Victims Fund Run/Walk at Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

“Our community continues to face a growing crisis as instances of domestic violence permeates the county. The unfortunate reality that we are confronted within our community is that anyone of us is susceptible of being a victim because of a random act of violence,” said State’s Attorney Braveboy. “As a community, it is imperative that we continue to band together and aid those who have been impacted by such tragedies.”

The Crime Victims Fund Run is an important cause designed to establish and maintain an emergency funding source to compensate victims of crimes of violence. The funds may be used for assistance with insurance deductibles, crime related counseling services, and victim relocation assistance. In addition, the Fund can also be used for home repairs such as broken windows, doors, locks, as well as other minor property damage including graffiti or cleanup efforts.

You can participate in the Fund Run as an individual runner/walker or an organized team by registering at the following link:
