[ARCHIVED] Statement from County Executive Baker

Statement from County Executive Baker Regarding Governor Hogan’s Judicial Appointments

Upper Marlboro, MD - Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III, released the following statement after Governor Hogan announced last week the judicial appointments of Prince George’s County Attorney Jared McCarthy and Prince George’s County Department of Social Services attorney, ShaRon Kelsey.

“I am very proud that our County Attorney, Jared McCarthy, and Prince George’s County Department of Social Services attorney, ShaRon Kelsey, have been named to the Circuit Court. Governor Hogan has selected two talented individuals who will become outstanding jurists.

As I depart the County Executive’s office after eight years, I consider it an important legacy to see the growth of these two professionals that I have appointed, hired, and fostered in this County government. Jared and ShaRon are dedicated stewards to the law and servants to the residents of this State and County. They have achieved and responded to the noble calling to serve on the bench. I congratulate and wish them the very best.”
