LARGO, MD – With the threat of inclement weather forecast for Tuesday, March 20, the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment advises residents that all curbside bulky, regular trash and recycling collections may be canceled or delayed due to road or weather-related conditions.
If collection services are postponed, every effort will be made to pick-up on the following day. However, if collections are suspended for two consecutive days, those pickups will resume the following week. Residents are reminded to leave their collection containers at curbside and that pickups can occur from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In addition, all services located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill in Upper Marlboro including the Brown Station Road Public Container Pad and Recycling Area, the Household Hazardous Acceptance Site, the Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site, the Prince George's County Yard Waste Composting Facility, scrap tire and appliance disposal sites, and the Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center in Brandywine may also experience suspension in services due to weather-related conditions.
Visit https://www.princegeorgescountymd.gov/ for further updates and alert information. To register a missed collection after 5 p.m. on the day of service, contact CountyClick at 3-1-1 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday – Friday or submit a request for assistance online at www.countyclick311.com.
