“I want to congratulate PGPD Inspector General Carlos Acosta on his recent appointment by Governor Hogan to the District Court of Montgomery County. On behalf of the residents of Prince George County, I appreciate his six years of service as the Inspector General for the PGPD Police Department.

As Inspector General, he provided strong, independent and effective oversight of PGPD, and ensured that the department, its officers and employees, performed their duties with honesty, integrity, dignity, and respect.

We wish Carlos all the best as he begins his career as a jurist, and we have complete faith that Judge Acosta will serve the residents of Montgomery County with the same dignity, respect, and compassion he served the residents of Prince George’s County.”
