Upper Marlboro, MD-The Prince George's County Public Safety Assistance Program will be hosting the 33rd Annual Christmas Food Basket Breakfast and Public Relations Media Event on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Fire Station #806.

County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III; Deputy Chief Administrative Officer of Public Safety, Mark A. Magaw; Fire/EMS Chief Ben Barksdale; Department of Corrections Director Mary Lou McDonough; Sheriff Melvin High; Police Chief Hank Stawinski; Homeland Security Director Gevonia Whittington; and Santa Clause
WHAT:
The day will begin with a “Hearty Fireman’s Breakfast” breakfast at 7:30 am. At 9:00 am food baskets will be prepared and loaded by the County Executive and Public Safety Officials. At 10:00 am, Public Safety Officials will then escort Santa Clause to Emerson House in Bladensburg, MD to visit residents in need of assistance. The visit concludes at 11:00 am where the County Executive and Public Safety Officials will take Santa to visit Riverdale Elementary School.
The Food Basket Program is supported by the Prince George's County Public Safety Assistance Program and has continued the tradition of providing meals for county residents in need of assistance. Members of the program have set a goal to deliver an estimate of over 2,000 baskets to individuals and families in need.
