Children Ages 5 to 11 Eligible for COVID-19 Booster Dose
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have authorized and recommended children ages 5 to 11 receive a booster/third dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least five months after receiving their second dose. Individuals 12 and older may also receive a booster dose of Pfizer. Second booster doses are authorized for all individuals 50 and older and for individuals 12 and older who have weakened immune systems.
