Job Readiness Training

Job Readiness Training is FREE to County residents ages 15-19. The training mimics the workplace, and is a safe environment where young people can demonstrate their proficiency and readiness for work. The curriculum supports the development of skills such as communication, customer service, and teamwork. Youth who successfully complete the program will receive placement preference in the Prince George’s County Youth@Work/SYEP.

For youth who are unable to attend the in person Job Readiness Training classes, please call Prince George’s Community College at 301-546-1580 for information regarding the Alternative Attendance Option.

Youth that have completed the Job Readiness Program are encouraged to enroll in the Career Pathways Program. Eligible youth receive training in one of 14 leading career fields.

The Job Readiness Training is a valuable resource for our County’s youth.
