Prince George's County Clear the Curb Waste Collection Programs modernize and streamline residential services for more than 180,000 residents. County residents who are eligible to participate in our waste collection programs receive ONE free wheeled trash, recycling, and compost cart to help ensure items are properly disposed of.

If you receive County trash and recycling services, residents can now put out up to two items of regular bulky trash, with your regular trash collection - no appointment needed! Scrap tires and white goods including refrigerators, air conditioners, washers, dryers, and other appliances, will still need to be scheduled for pickup through PGC311. See all the details here.

The Resource Recovery Division provides curbside recycling collection for more than 191,000 County households. Residents in the County-contracted collection areas should place their trash containers at the front curb by 6 a.m. on their regularly scheduled collection day.

Weekly curbside collection of yard trim is collected year-round on Monday. Yard trim includes grass clippings, leaves, small branches, brush, Christmas trees, and food scraps. Please note, that effective January 1, 2014, plastic bags are no longer accepted in residential curbside yard trim collection.
