Dr. Madye G. Henson, a resident of Upper Marlboro, serves as Chief External Engagement and Impact Officer for Zion Church. In that role, she is responsible for all external ministries as well as leading Zion’s civic and community engagement efforts, and developing strategic partnerships locally, nationally, and globally. She is also the Principal of Centric IMPACT, a mission-centered consulting firm specializing in leadership and organizational developments. In that role she helped develop and launch the Center for Race, Equity, Justice, and Inclusion, at the Center for Nonprofit Advancement. Organizations she has worked for and led include May Department Stores, Southwestern Bell/AT&T, INROADS, Strategic Vision, United Way of America, Greater DC Cares, Alexandria City Public Schools, Covenant House, and Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers.
Dr. Henson earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Management (DMGT) degrees from Webster University. She is also a Member of Leadership Greater Washington.
