Revised Open Enrollment Dates
Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to review your coverage and select the benefits that are best for you and your family. The dates of Open Enrollment 2021 have been revised and will now begin on Monday, October 26, and end on Friday, November 6, 2020.
Employees and retirees may have recently received a postcard in the mail with the previous Open Enrollment dates. The OHRM Benefits and Pensions team will send new postcards with the revised dates of Open Enrollment.

Open Enrollment 2021 is Virtual
In light of COVID-19, Open Enrollment 2021 will be completely virtual. You can enroll in your benefits online via Employee Self-Service (ESS), learn more about the 2021 benefits options by reading the guide, or watching an on-demand webinar, and you can call the new Open Enrollment Call Center with questions.

How to Enroll
Use the How to Enroll - Quick Reference Guide to learn how to access Employee Self-Service (ESS) and enroll in your 2021 benefits. For additional assistance in How to Enroll, please review our new Open Enrollment 2021 Employee Self-Service video.
Important Reminder: Check your Employee Self-Service (ESS) password. You will need this password to access ESS. If you do not remember your password, please contact the OIT Helpdesk at 301-883-5322.
Open Enrollment Call Center ~ 1-844-816-0224
If you have questions about Open Enrollment, contact the Open Enrollment Call Center (1-844-816-0224) during the two-week enrollment period (Oct. 26 - Nov. 6) Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm EST and Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm EST. Benefits counselors will be available to answer your questions and assist with enrollment.
NEW! iBenefit Concierge Services
The new iBenefit Concierge service will provide you with the opportunity to speak with Benefits Counselors via a virtual call center or through scheduled one-on-one appointments. Benefits counselors will educate employees on their benefits, answer questions, and assist employees in the enrollment process.

Schedule a One-on-One Appointment
Benefits Counselors will be available for appointments throughout Open Enrollment to help you understand your benefit offerings and make the best choice for your family. Review your 2020 benefit elections before scheduling your appointment. Each appointment will be 20-30 minutes and all calls are confidential. Individuals can sign up for an appointment online or through our QR code.
NEW! Medical Opt-Out Credit Process
If you elected the Medical Opt-Out Credit last year and you want to continue it in 2021, you must enroll using Employee Self-Service (ESS) and provide proof of coverage in another medical plan. Complete the Medical Opt-Out Cover Form and submit a copy of your medical card to the Benefits Division by Friday, November 6, 2020.

NEW! Flexible Spending Account Now with Benefit Strategies
Effective January 1, 2021, Benefit Strategies will be our new provider for Flexible Spending Accounts. Employees currently enrolled with ConnectYourCare may continue to use their FSA debit card through the March 15th grace period in order to use the funds from the 2020 plan year.
Employees who enroll in the Healthcare Flexible Spending Account for the plan year 2021, will have the opportunity to roll over up to $550 in unused funds from the previous plan year. Remember, you must enroll in a Healthcare and Dependent Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) each year through Employee Self Service.
Voluntary Benefits Enrollment
To enroll or change your participation in a Voluntary Benefit plan, you must contact the provider directly:
- For Unum Whole Life Insurance, Unum Group Accident Insurance, Unum Critical Illness Insurance, contact iBenefit at 1-844-816-0224.
- For Legal Resources, contact 1-800-728-5768 or make changes online. Online enrollment only available during the Open Enrollment period.
- For LegalShield, contact a LegalShield representative at 1-877-235-0638
or complete the LegalShield enrollment form and submit to Terry@solimeo.com.
- For Aflac Supplemental Dental Insurance, you can schedule a one-on-one appointment with an Aflac counselor online,
email princegeorges.aflac@gmail.com, or call 410-994-3091.
Life and Disability Insurance Plans
Employees will not be able to add or make changes to their Life and Disability elections during Open Enrollment this year, but will have the opportunity to make changes in 2021.
Please note, you can change your beneficiaries at any time through Anytime Changes in the Employee Self Service.

Review the 2020 Open Enrollment Guide (Active | Retiree)—it highlights what is new for 2021 and provides information to help you make the best decision for you and your family.
Enroll Online
Make your selections online through Employee Self-Service. All changes must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020. Remember, if you add a dependent, you must complete a Dependent Verification Form and submit the required documentation to verify their eligibility by Friday, November 6, 2020. Once Open Enrollment passes, you cannot make changes unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event.
If you want to opt-out of medical coverage, you must re-elect this option each year through Employee Self-Service. To receive the Medical Opt-Out Credit in 2021, complete a Medical Opt-Out Cover Form and submit a copy of your medical card by Friday, November 6, 2020.
