The Maryland Emergency Management Association (MDEMA) is offering five (5), $1,000.00 Scholarships for the school year 2018. One scholarship will be awarded per Association Area:
Area I – Garrett, Allegany and Washington, Area II – Frederick, Montgomery and Prince Georges, Area III – Carroll, Harford, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Howard, Anne Arundel and Annapolis, Area IV – Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Ocean City, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico and Worcester, and Area V – Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's.
The purpose of the scholarship program is to nurture, promote and develop future emergency management professionals by furthering the education of students studying the emergency management career field or related fields. It’s the objective of MDEMA to financially assist full-time students pursuing an associate or baccalaureate degree in emergency management or a closely related career field. Applicant must be a senior enrolled in an accredited Maryland High School. Applications can be obtained from your local high school guidance office or from your local Emergency Management Office. Application and essay deadline is April 2, 2018.
