Approximately 20 million new sexually transmitted infections occur every year in the United States. The rate of sexually transmitted infections remains high in Prince George’s County and includes all ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Prince George’s County is working to stop the spread of sexually transmitted infections and halt the progression of HIV by getting residents informed, tested, treated and involved to make change happen.
