Prince George's County has a range of waste collection programs servicing more than 175,000 residents to help clear the curb and keep our County clean, healthy, and sustainable.
Our waste collection programs include a faster and improved bulky trash collection program, regular trash and recycling, yard trim, and a Countywide food scraps composting program.

Public Drop-off Convenience Centers
Residents who wish to dispose of trash and/or recycling without curbside collection, may use one of the following county-owned and operated drop-off facilities.
- Brown Station Road Public Container Pad and Recycling Area (Upper Marlboro)
- Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center (Brandywine)
Rolling Wheeled Toter/Cart Information
As part of the Clear the Curb waste collection program, residents receive a one-time, free 64-gallon wheeled trash toter/cart for trash and recycling collection, and a 32-gallon wheeled green compost cart. The tight-fitting lid keeps your waste collection items secure and the animals out. It is easy to tilt and roll to the curb. Trash and recycling collection services are NOT provided on the following holidays:

|Labor Day||Thanksgiving Day||Christmas Day|
If the holiday falls on a weekday, trash and recycling collection will shift to the next day, through Saturday, with no collections on Sunday. There are NO makeup days for yard trim collection.
