Prince George’s County's Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) provides a "one-stop shop" for those seeking regulatory approval of economic development, redevelopment and preservation of residential, commercial and retail properties in the County. This is achieved by combining into one facility the functions and staffs of various County, bicounty and State agencies involved in the authorization and regulation of building, site, road and utility permits and business licenses. DPIE consolidates the functions and streamlines the processes significantly affecting economic development to include the following.
