Call-A-Bus is a demand response curb-to-curb service. Service is available to all residents of Prince George’s County who are not served by or cannot use existing bus or rail services. However, priority is given to senior and persons with disabilities. Persons with disabilities must provide their own escort, if needed. Service animals are allowed for the visually impaired.

Reservations can be made up to fourteen (14) days in advance by calling 301-499-8603 between 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding County holidays). Hours of service are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding County holidays). Same day requests are accepted, but are subject to availability of resources. When reserving a trip, please be sure to indicate if you will need special assistance, such as a wheelchair lift or escort. Once your trip is scheduled, you will be required to call back the day before your trip to confirm your reservation; otherwise, your reservation may be cancelled. Please be ready for pick-up 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and be waiting at a location where you are visible to the driver. Due to traffic congestion, please wait 15 minutes before calling to verify if your trip is late. In addition to the County’s Call-A-Bus service, the following municipalities provide their own Call-A-Bus service. Medical Program

Senior and disabled County residents are eligible to receive transportation for medical purposes, especially for dialysis. Residents may call 301.499.8603 up to 14 days in advance to schedule routine medical visits. For those seeking on-going to permanent transportation for medical visits, such as dialysis treatment, please send a written request.

General Transportation

Limited transportation is provided for County seniors to senior activity centers and other recreational venues. Those wishing to participate in the various senior programs should write to the Transit Division at: Prince George’s County

How Much Does STS Cost?

Transportation for the Nutrition and Foster Grandparents program is FREE. Transportation for medical and general services is FREE allowing an escort a complimentary ride. Fares are based on one-way trips and are payable upon boarding. Drivers cannot make change or handle fares.

Senior Transportation Services

Senior Transportation Services (STS) provide regularly scheduled curb-to-curb transportation for seniors and persons with disabilities throughout Prince George’s County. Service is provided Monday through Friday, except on County holidays. Participants must provide their own escorts, if needed. STS also provides transportation for a number of senior programs. The Department of Family Services, Aging Division, offers a variety of programs designed to assist seniors throughout the County.

Nutrition Program

County seniors may receive free transportation to strategically located group sites for a nutritional lunch and companionship. Senior residents, who are homebound and cannot attend a nutrition site, may be eligible to have meals delivered to them. Any person60 years of age or older may be eligible, as is the spouse, when accompanying the age-eligible spouse. Transportation also is provided for the Foster Grandparents Program.
