Request For Proposals No. 2014-1
Net-Zero Home Questions
The Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County (RDA)
is hereby seeking proposals from teams of qualified individuals and firms to
develop a single-family net-zero energy home (as defined more specifically in
the RFP) that will serve as a model for future homes in Prince George’s
County. RDA seeks developer teams (Offerors)
who want to showcase their talent and innovative building abilities and who
want to help to develop replicable models of highly efficient, sustainable
homes in Prince George’s County. The property is located at 3719 34th Street, Mt. Rainier, Maryland 20712.
RDA will work closely with the selected Offeror to assist
the project in a variety of ways, and RDA will act as an advocate within the
County for its successful completion. RDA
will consider the successful integration of this home into the targeted Mt.
Rainier neighborhood to be a major milestone in the County’s
redevelopment. RDA expects that this
project will be upheld as a model for future building across the County, and
ideally the region and the nation.
Please contact Tanya Diggs, Administrator of Procurement and Finance, for questions. Proposals must be received and time-stamped no later than Friday, June 13, 2014 at noon EDT.
A pre-proposal conference, to take place at
the development site, is currently scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. EDT.
