LARGO, MD - The Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) today announced that beginning on July 18 and continuing through July 21, 2014, a new traffic pattern will be implemented at the intersection of Panorama Drive and Oxon Hill Road. There will be a continuous flagging operation during this time period to aid motorists entering and leaving Panorama Drive. In addition, variable message signs and detour signs have been placed to direct traffic.
The change in the traffic pattern is necessary for the construction of the embankment for the new roundabout and for road improvements along Panorama Drive. Changing the traffic pattern will allow DPW&T to reduce the construction time for the roundabout and will greatly decrease the overall impact to travelers and residents.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down and be alert for the signs directing traffic. For more information, please contact DPW&T’s Office of Engineering and Project Management at 301-883-5642.
