Prince George's County Invites Residents to Participate in the Fourth Annual "Clean Up Green Up"

LARGO, MD - Prince George’s County invites residents, schools, businesses and community organizations to join us for the fourth annual countywide “Clean Up Green Up” event on Saturday, October 18, 2014.  Participants are encouraged to take part in this initiative by conducting neighborhood plantings and beautification activities.  

“I look forward to working together with the volunteers as we beautify our communities,” said County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III.  I thank you for your support and commitment to “Clean Up Green Up” Prince George’s County.”

To register for “Clean Up Green Up,” please fill out the online registration form and return it by Friday, September 12, 2014.  Completed registration forms may be scanned and e-mailed to or faxed/ mailed to the following address:

The Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) will provide the plants, proper planting instructions and litter collection supplies. Landscape design assistance is available through the Neighborhood Design Center (NDC).

 “Clean Up Green Up” provides an opportunity for schools, businesses, residents and community organizations to partner with Prince George’s County Government, NDC, Keep Prince George’s County Beautiful, Prince George’s County Public Schools and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission to keep Prince George’s County beautiful.

Students who participate in “Clean Up Green Up” activities will receive community service credits.  Verification forms for community service are available at the schools.
