Sunnyside Avenue Will Be Temporarily Closed

LARGO, MD - The Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) today announced that Sunnyside Avenue will be closed to traffic at the railroad crossing on or about Monday, September 16, 2013 and will reopen to vehicular traffic on Monday, September 23, 2013.  The road will be temporarily closed while CSX replaces a defective rail at the crossing.

Detour signs and variable message signs have been placed to direct traffic.  From Route 201/ Edmonston Road, traffic will be detoured to Powder Mill Road and then to Route 1/Baltimore Avenue.
