Submitting Media and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests
Requests for information from media representatives, including FOIA requests for reporters, should be submitted by e-mail to the Media Affairs mailbox at Police_MRD@co.pg.md.us. Such requests should include specific questions to be addressed with as much detail as possible. Persons requesting information must include their name, the name of the organization they represent, as well as any contact information. Any applicable deadlines should be included in the e-mail request. Efforts will be made to meet specific deadlines, within reason. However, requests will be handled in the order they are received. Once a request has been submitted to the Media Affairs Section, a reply e-mail will be sent verifying receipt of the request and will include a Request Tracking Number. The Request Tracking Number should then be used to reference the request in any follow-up correspondence.
