Keeping fit and staying healthy is a positive step toward successful growth and development. The Prince George’s County Department of Social Services wants to assist you and your family members in realizing this goal.
The Medical Assistance Program helps families pay for medical care. Assistance can include payments for doctor's visits, exams, prescription costs, hospital bills, payment of Medicare premiums, etc.
You may be eligible for Medical Assistance if you are elderly, disabled, pregnant, a child under 21 years, or are part of a family with dependent children. Eligibility for medical assistance is based on income and resources as well as other non-financial factors. Recipients of Temporary Cash Assistance and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are automatically eligible for Medical Assistance.
Go to Maryland Department of Human Resources Medical Assistance for a list of Frequently Asked Questions about Medical Assistance.
