Treatment for Women, Including Pregnant Women and Women with Children
Life can be tough. Some women and their families often struggle with issues such as:
- coping with a drug or other substance abuse problem
- wanting drug treatment, but concerned about childcare
- concern about how drugs can affect an unborn baby
- parenting problems
- drug use affecting family relationships
- difficulty holding a job because of drug use
Are you a woman who may have an alcohol or drug problem?
Do you know, or are you related to, a woman who is?
Call the staff at CAP.
Intensive day treatment services with childcare are available to female Prince George’s County residents at a center in your community. Assistance with transportation is also provided.
Referrals are accepted from any woman seeking treatment, family members or other community agencies.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Substance Abuse Assessment
An assessment is made to determine what, if any, substance abuse and mental health services are needed.
Individual, Group and Family Counseling
CAP staff include licensed counselors and social workers with extensive experience working with women with addiction and mental health problems.
Referrals to Other Health and Community Services
When more than help is needed, we assist the client in obtaining needed services.
Assistance is provided to help solve an immediate crisis situation, along with encouragement and referrals to the necessary level of care.
Fees for CAP services are covered by Maryland Medical Assistance. CAP Program staff will help any female clients apply for Maryland Medical Assistance if not currently enrolled. Those who are not found eligible for Medical Assistance are seen at no direct cost to the client.
