    1. Reduce fatal and non-fatal child maltreatment​.
    2. Reduce domestic violence or reduce non-fatal physical assault injuries.
 
 
 

Strategy

 

Addressing Child Maltreatment and Domestic Violence

  • ​​​​​A​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ss​​​​ess students se​​en at the four (4) School Based Wellness Clinics (SBWCs)​ who self-identify or are identified by school personnel as being at risk for an unsafe school, home or community environment and make referrals for further intervention, including referral to Child Protective Services (CPS).
  • Assess every student seen by a social worker at the four (4) SBWCs for his/her risk of child abuse, sexual abuse or maltreatment; Refer suspicious cases to CPS for follow up.​​​

​Meetings​

The Domestic Violence Workgroup meets bi-monthly, every second and fourth Monday at 4:30 p.m. via conference call.
