The Senior Information and Assistance Program is a single point of entry for individuals in need of current information about opportunities and services available to seniors in Prince George's County. The program also connects persons with older family members who live outside the County with local service agencies in their communities.
The Family Caregiver Program assists caregivers who provide care to an individual 60 years of age and older. Family Caregivers also assists caregivers with making decisions, identifying benefits and solving problems for older individuals who may be losing their ability to live and care for themselves independently. Finally, the program provides information and assistance to caregivers regarding programs, services and benefits for both the caregiver and the care recipient. The Senior Health Insurance Program offers free health insurance counseling to county seniors and disabled persons.
