The Commission for Women was established in 1972, by the Prince George's County Council to work for women's equality, which has a proud history of service. Currently, the Commission is seeking candidates to serve as a Commissioner.
Commission members bring a wide and varied volunteer skills as well as a lasting desire to make Prince George's County a healthy place for women to live, work, and manage their lives. The Prince George's County Commission for Women makes recommendations to county residents, the County Executive, County Council, and many departments of local, state, and federal governments on matters that affect the welfare of women.
