Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III to Light Holiday Tree at National Harbor Tomorrow Evening, Friday, November 29, 2013

Upper Marlboro, MD – Tomorrow, Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III will light the Holiday Tree at National Harbor.  The tree lighting ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m.  The National Harbor Holiday Tree will illuminate more than 200,000 Christmas lights strung around a grand 65-foot tree.  The holiday tree lighting will be accompanied by the sounds of the Orchestra at National Harbor featuring the American Military Spouses Choir as seen on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.  The ceremony will conclude with a spectacular fireworks finale and light show at 8:00 p.m.

“We have a lot to be thankful for and celebrate this holiday season in Prince George’s County and I am honored on behalf of our residents and businesses to light the National Harbor Holiday Tree,” said Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III. “With the opening of the upscale Tanger Outlets, the unique shops at National Harbor, a new ice skating rink, the perennial favorite ICE attraction, and the gorgeous Gaylord atrium decorated for the holidays, National Harbor continues to cement its reputation as the region’s premier family friendly holiday destination.”
