Upper Marlboro, MD - On Wednesday, November 13th Prince George's
County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III will announce a major Education
investment, Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative between the LEARN Foundation
and the Heart of America Foundation.
William Paca Elementary located in the Kentland/ Palmer Park impact area
will be the recipient school.
"It has been said time and
time again that it takes a village to raise a child," said County
Executive Baker. This also holds true in
supporting and building upon our blueprint for TNI. The LEARN Foundation and Heart of America
Foundation’s winning combination of resources is a prime example of the power
of community based partnerships."
The LEARN (Landover Educational
Athletic Recreational Non-Profit) Foundation founded in 1996, to provide
scholarships and educational opportunities to youth in the FedEx Field impact
