UPPER MARLBORO, MD - Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III will join Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown, leadership from Berman Enterprises, other state and local officials, and community leaders to hold a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on the new Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) headquarters this Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 7800 Harkin Road, Lanham, near the New Carrollton Metro Station. The new DHCD headquarters is the anchor of a multi-phased, mixed-use, transit-oriented development project centered on the New Carrollton metro station. The facilities are expected to be ready for occupancy by the department's more than 300 employees by 2015.

From I-495, take Exit 20A (Route 450/Annapolis Road).
Then, turn LEFT at the first intersection onto 85th Avenue.
Continue on 85th Avenue until you see the New Carrollton Metro Station on your left.
Then, turn RIGHT on Harkins Road.
Continue on Harkins Road - you will pass the IRS facility on your left and the CSC Building on your right.
Then, take the first RIGHT onto Sherwood Street.
