Prince George's County Suspends Bulky Item and Trash Collection Services Due to Inclement Weather

Releases updated schedule of when services are to resume  
LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Department of Environmental Resources (DER) has announced that due to inclement weather conditions, all bulky item collection pick-ups scheduled for today, Friday, January 3, 2014 have been suspended and are scheduled to resume on Monday, January 6, 2014 and continue through Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Due to heavy winds, residents are strongly encouraged to secure their bulky trash items left at curbside until pick-up.
In addition, trash collection in the below-listed County-contracted areas has been cancelled for today, Friday, January 3, 2014 and will resume on Saturday, January 4, 2014.  The areas affected by today’s cancellation in trash pick-up services are:
• Melwood Estates
• Roblee Estates
• Marlboro Ridings
• Woodyard Estates
• Villages of Melwood
• Melwood Springs
• Mitchell Farm Estates
• Estonian Estates
• Rolling Glen Farms
