Prince George’s County Government Announces Holiday Closing Schedule for Thanksgiving

​Prince George’s County government offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, 2013, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday 

LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Department of Environmental Resources (DER) announces the following services and facilities will be closed or suspended on Thursday, November 28, 2013 for Thanksgiving Day.  All waste management facilities and collection services, including refuse, recycling and yard waste will operate on a normal schedule on Friday, November 29, 2013.  The only exception is bulky trash collections, which will not operate on November 28 or November 29 and will resume collections on December 2, 2013. TheBus, a Countywide transit service administered by the Department of Public Works and Transportation, will not operate on the Thursday, November 28, 2013.  In addition, the County’s Call-A-Bus and Senior Transportation services will not operate on Thursday, November 28.  On Friday, November 29, all TheBus routes will be operational except Routes 51, 51-Extended and 52, all of which service County government buildings.  Call-A-Bus will operate on Friday, November 29, for pre-scheduled medical appointments only.  All regular services will resume on Monday, December 2, 2013. 

Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1 will also be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, 2013.  However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at http://countyclick.princegeorgescountymd.gov/.  CountyClick 3-1-1 will return to normal operations on Monday, December 2, 2013.
