Prince George's County Announces the Holiday Closings for Independence Day

Prince George’s County government offices, with the exception of public safety agencies, will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2013 in observance of Independence Day.

LARGO, MD – The following services and facilities managed by the Department of Environmental Resources (DER) will be closed or suspended on Thursday, July 4, 2013.

Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill Closed

Brown Station Road Public
Convenience Center Closed

Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site Closed
(Located at the Brown Station Road
Sanitary Landfill)

Household Hazardous Waste Acceptance Site Closed
(Located at the Brown Station Road
Sanitary Landfill)

Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance
and Recycling Center Closed

Prince George’s County Yard Waste
Composting Facility Closed

Bulky Trash Collection No Collection
(by appointment only) (Collection will resume
on July 5, 2013)

Trash Collection in County-Contracted Areas No Collection
(Collection will resume
on the next regularly
scheduled collection day)

Curbside Recycling Collection No Collection

All services will resume normal schedules on Friday, July 5, 2013. For more information, contact CountyClick at 311.

The CountyClick 311 Call Center will be closed on July 4th and will re-open Friday, July 5th from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Citizens can still access the online CountyClick 311 Service Request site to access information or submit a service request every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In addition, Prince George's County's TheBus, Call-A-Bus and Senior Transportation services will not operate on Thursday, July 4, 2013. All services will resume regular schedules on Friday, July 5, 2013.
