National Night Out Encourages Neighborhood Involvement and Police-Community Partnerships
Prince George’s County Council Member Karen R. Toles (D) – District 7, will join residents, public safety officials and the District 7 Team for National Night Out activities on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at various locations throughout District 7.
National Night Out, established in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), promotes involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
“Celebrating National Night Out with District 7 residents and the District III and IV Police Districts is a neighborhood tradition that not only encourages neighborhood safety, but strengthens citizen interactions and engagement,” said Council Member Toles. “As a part of the ‘Keeping Our Communities Safe’ initiative, I look forward to enjoying a night out with residents and sharing the great strides we have made in the area of public safety.”
