In December 2014, former Council Member Eric Olson and Council Member Dannielle Glaros had the pleasure of notifying numerous non-profit organizations serving District 3 residents that they had been awarded a Fiscal Year 2015 Special Appropriations Grant. This past fall, District 3’s 15-member citizen advisory committee reviewed more than 70 applications to make those funding recommendations.
The District 3 Fiscal Year 2016 Special Appropriations Grant process will begin in August when Council Member Glaros’ office sends out updated grant applications and instructions. Completed applications will likely be due by the end of September 2015. Please send an email to Youto Togoe at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to receive an application for a Fiscal Year 2016 Special Appropriations Grant.
Please note, this is a competitive process. Each year funding requests far exceed available funds. Priority is given to programs that service District 3 residents.
There are many non-profit organizations in District 3 and throughout Prince George’s County that are making a positive difference in the community and Council Member Glaros is grateful for the many ways non-profit organizations serve the community every day.
