Under the guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), notice is hereby given that the Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has opened a 15-day public comment period and is making the FY 2013 Draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) available to the public for review and comment. The CAPER is used as an important tool that documents the County’s achievements toward providing decent housing, suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities principally for low and moderate-income persons.
The purpose of the notice of public comment is to gain public input and comment on the County’s effort in meeting its goals and objectives described in the 2011-2015 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development and the following Federal Programs’ performance in addressing the goals and objectives of the FY 2013 Annual Action Plan, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), and Housing Opportunity for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs. The CAPER will be submitted to HUD on Friday, September 27, 2013.
Copies of the draft CAPER will be available on September 12, 2013 at the following locations: the Department of Housing and Community Development, 9200 Basil Court, Suite 420, Largo, Maryland, 20774 and on the County’s website at Plans and Reports under the Department of Housing and Community Development, (DHCD). Copies are also available by mail upon request.
