The Prince George’s County Council adopted Council Resolution 2-2012 (CR-2-2012), in February 2012. CR-2-2012 establishes a thirteen-member Prince George’s County Foreclosure Task Force, representing the county and state governments; stakeholders from the real estate and banking industries; not-for-profit organizations; and the public, to review and evaluate the County’s response to foreclosures. The Task Force was also charged with recommending appropriate policies and/or legislation to address the impact of foreclosures in the County.
Subsequently, the County Council adopted CR-43-2012 and CR-7-2013 extending the Task Force reporting time. The Foreclosure Task Force held seven meetings over the course of the past year, reviewing issues and alternatives with staff, state and regional experts, and reviewing extensive materials on County operations and programs.
Please provide the Foreclosure Task Force public comment on the Final Draft Report and Recommendations.
