"The Prince George's County Council is pleased to receive the Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) negotiated by County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III and MGM Resorts International.  Prior to the consideration of zoning for the MGM  National Harbor project, the Council had substantial input and impact on the framework and components of the CBA, including requirements for local hiring, local minority contracting, investment opportunities, and philanthropy during the construction and operation phases of the project.  Additionally, the Council enacted Council Bill-7-2014, requiring Council approval for the agreement prior to the opening of the MGM National Harbor facility.  We look forward to thoroughly reviewing this agreement over the next few weeks and will expeditiously consider the CBA in public session."
