The Prince George’s County Council extends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and listeners of Sheila Stewart, Radio One News and Community Affairs Director, whose sudden death leaves us all in a state of shock and disbelief.  

During her radio career which spans over 20 years, Sheila not only supported the activities of the Prince George’s County Council through her work and partnerships, she was an engaged and dedicated member of our community. Her genuine smile and contagious energy was indeed her signature. 

Sheila Stewart was a consummate professional. She spent her time uplifting the true character of Prince George’s County and left an incredible impression on the members of this Council. She will be greatly missed.
