The Prince George’s
County Council will join County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III, Governor
Martin O’Malley, Senator Barbara Mikulski, Senator Ben Cardin, Representative
Steny Hoyer, and Representative Donna F. Edwards to promote Prince George's
County as the right choice for relocating the new, consolidated Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) headquarters. The new FBI headquarters is estimated to be a
$2 billion economic development project and home to 11,000 jobs.

All legislative powers of Prince George’s
County are vested in the County Council. The County Council sits as the
District Council on zoning and land use policy, and as the Board of Health to
govern and guide health policy. The County Council meets as a legislative
body on Tuesdays in the Council Hearing Room on the first floor of the County
