COUNTY COUNCIL'S PUBLIC SAFETY AND FISCAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE CONVENES JUNE 5

The Prince George’s County Council Committee on Public Safety and Fiscal Management (PSFM) will convene on Thursday, June 5, 2014, 1:30 p.m.  in the County Administration Building, Council Committee Room 2027, 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive in Upper Marlboro.
 
June 5th PSFM Committee meeting agenda items include the following proposed legislation:
 
CB-18-2014 An Act concerning Grocery Store Tax Credit for the purpose of establishing a tax credit for real property that is used for a grocery store located in an economically disadvantaged or underserved areas.
 
CB-23-2014  An Act concerning the issuance and sale of General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thirty-Five Million Three Hundred Seven Thousand Dollars ($235,307,000).
 
CB-24-2014 An Act concerning the issuance and sale of General Obligation Stormwater Management Bonds in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Seven Million Nine Hundred Seventy-Eight Thousand Dollars ($57,978,000).
 
CB-25-2014 An Act amending the County’s secondhand personal property and pawn dealers law to prohibit the use of automated purchasing machines (also known as “reverse vending machines”).
 
CR-28-2014 A Resolution concerning Green Fleet Policy for the purpose of implementing a Green Fleet Policy in Prince George’s County to purchase, lease, or otherwise obtain the most energy efficient vehicles possible; manage and operate the County fleet in a manner that is energy efficient and minimizes emissions; and incorporate practices that improve public health, minimize pollution, and conserve resources.
 
CR-29-2014  A Resolution concerning Environmentally Preferred Purchasing Policy for the purpose of implementing an Environmentally Preferred Purchasing Policy in Prince George’s County to reduce the amount and toxicity of solid waste generated by County departments and agencies; recycle materials recoverable from County operations; and maximize the procurement of recycled, energy efficient, and non-toxic products.
