Prince George’s County Council
Member Karen R. Toles (D) - District 7, and Men Aiming Higher Inc., a local
non-profit organization, are partnering to provide toys to District 7 children
during the holiday season. The “District 7 Toys for Tots Giveaway” is scheduled
for Friday, December 20, 2013. Council Member Toles and representatives from
Men Aiming Higher, Inc. will visit Suitland Elementary, Seat Pleasant
Elementary and Hillcrest Heights
Elementary schools to distribute toys to children in need.
Council Member Toles says she is
pleased to partner with Men Aiming Higher to bring the “Toys for Tots” Giveaway
to District 7 for the third consecutive year.
“I am excited for the opportunity to partner
with Men Aiming Higher again this holiday season,” said Council Member
Toles. “For many families, the holidays
can be financially challenging, so it is important for us to come together as a
community in support of those who may need a little help. We love seeing the smiles on the children’s
faces and their excitement to receive something extra during the
to their stated mission, Men Aiming Higher, Inc. was created in 2009 with the
mission to successfully mobilize at-risk young men between the crucial ages of
16 to 19, strategizing them through educational tutoring, leadership training,
mentoring programs and community service projects.
